August 19, 2011 — Agfa HealthCare announced it would showcase its direct radiography (DR) solutions at AHRA 2011, the annual meeting for the Association for Medical Imaging Management. The event was held Aug. 14-17, in Grapevine, Texas.
August 18, 2011 – Agfa HealthCare announced that its mobile digital radiography (DR) system, the DX-D 100, is available for delivery in the United States and Canada. This highly maneuverable DR unit combines full mobility with Agfa HealthCare's excellent image processing. The result enables high-quality radiology exams to be efficiently performed in mobile environments, including intensive care units (ICUs), emergency departments, operating rooms or at the bedside.
December 6, 2010 – A works in progress data center viewer is available on the iPad. The IMPAX Data Center Viewer, by Agfa, is powered by Xero technology and is designed to enable portable point-of-care to patient images.
Clinicians can view reference images, including large multi-slice CT studies, as part of the electronic health record (EHR).
November 17, 2010 – Prices have been increased for imaging film products.
Agfa HealthCare announced significant worldwide price increases on all imaging film products, saying they are a logical consequence of the important price increases of raw materials over the past weeks.
Carestream announced similar price increases for its analog X-ray film products earlier this year.
October 26, 2010 – At RSNA 2010, Agfa HealthCare will showcase its latest solutions in digital radiography (DR). At the heart of all the company’s digital solutions is the Musica2 imaging software and NX station. Musica2 is exam-independent and analyzes the characteristics of each image and optimizes processing parameters, independent of user input and dose settings.
The DX-D 10C (work in progress) is a portable detector with needle crystals by Agfa HealthCare. The small size allows it to fit into an existing analog bucky. System integrators can therefore use the detector to transform analog X-ray units into digital with the company’s DX-D Integrator packages.
