Ultrasound Women's Health
Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to create images and is an important tool in women's health. It is used as a supplemental breast imaging modality for women who have dense breasts because it can see through dense tissue to identify cancers that are otherwise hidden on their mammograms. Ultrasound is also used for a OB/GYN applications.
