May 8, 2007 - Analogic Corp. and CAS Medical Systems Inc. announced an agreement providing CAS Medical with the worldwide exclusive rights to market and sell Analogic's LIFEGARD family of noninvasive patient monitors. The monitors will be co-branded with both company names. In addition, the companies plan to develop together additional monitors for the LIFEGARD family and other specialty niche markets.

May 9, 2007- Siemens will introduce, at the the 28th Annual Scientific Sessions of the Heart Rhythm Society, syngo DynaCT Cardiac, which enables 3-D imaging reportedly comparable to CT in the EP lab during procedures, and which is said to enhance diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities by enabling electrophysiologists to visualize the left atrium in 3-D during complex cardiac procedures, eliminating the need for pre-procedural CT or MRI exams.

May 9, 2007 - New imaging research at UCLA shows that impairments in autistic children's ability to imitate and empathize can be linked to dysfunction in the brain's mirror-neuron system.

In research to be presented May 4 at the annual International Meeting for Autism Research in Seattle, UCLA scientists demonstrated a clear link between a child's inability to imitate expressions on the faces of other people and a lack of activity in the mirror-neuron system (MNS).
