October 26, 2007 - Siemens Medical Solutions will exhibit an alternative approach to IGRT, the MVision Megavoltage Cone Beam Imaging Package that is reportedly a powerful, unique volumetric in-line target imaging solution that employs the existing treatment beam to provide 3D target imaging, at ASTRO, Oct. 28 to Nov. 1, 2007.

October 26, 2007 - Medical Intelligence, part of the Elekta Group, will display the HexaPOD evo RT System, reportedly the next generation of robotic patient-positioning platforms, with six degrees of freedom, at ASTRO, Oct. 28 to Nov. 1, 2007.

The HexaPOD evo CouchTop reportedly incorporates all the well-known features of the precursor HexaPOD Couchtop, with greatly improved patient access and clearance aperture.

Designed for fast and simple CT tumor volume localization, the application includes exclusive features for viewing Respiratory Correlated CT datasets and analyzing motion of the target and surrounding anatomy.

October 26, 2007 - NOMOS Radiation Oncology, a division of North American Scientific, will bring to ASTRO 2007 its BATCAM Multi-probe, a new IGRT solution that received FDA 510(k) approval on July 11, 2007.

The BATCAM Multi-probe integrates a new multi-probe capable ultrasound system into the company's core IGRT product, BATCAM. The new system features an updated abdominal ultrasound probe featuring color doppler ultrasound, enabling IGRT for liver and pancreas treatments in addition to prostate and gynecology.
