March 6, 2008 - Carestream Health Inc. released the new Kodak DRYVIEW 5800 Laser Imager designed for radiology departments, imaging centers and small clinics and dedicated modality printing, delivering up to 75 radiographic films per hour with a time to first print of 80 seconds for 35-by-43-cm film.

Two film drawers accommodate five film sizes: 20-by-25-cm, 25-by-30-cm, 35-by-35-cm, 35-by-43-cm and 28-by-35-cm. The 28-by-35-cm film size is reportedly ideal for printing multiformat images from computed radiography (CR) and digital radiography (DR) systems.

March 6, 2008 - Toshiba will showcase its Aplio Artida 4D ultrasound system, designed for physicians to quantify global and regional LV function, including LV ejection fraction.

The system is also one of the first to track myocardial motion and display myocardial motion in 3D, allowing the user to obtain angle-independent, quantitative and regional information about myocardial contraction. With this imaging device, physicians have the ability to identify wall motion defects and improve Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT) using pacemakers.
