TeraMedica Healthcare Technology’s Evercore Enterprise Suite has been fully tested and certified for use with IBM’s Grid Medical Archive Solution (GMAS) storage management system.

INFINITT North America has developed a Tele-RIS module that enables radiology reading services to provide advanced hosting capabilities to their referring customers.
The INFINITT TeleRIS module was developed to meet the needs of a large radiology reading service in Texas where fellowship-trained radiologists read images from 23 different imaging facilities. The service had previously needed to log in to a separate system for each facility, but now archives the images, orders, technologist notes and patient information so that all are accessible from a single workstation/viewer.

Barco has released a new version of its Voxar 3D advanced visualization software suite that is integrated in Agfa’s IMPAX PACS, designed to streamline imaging workflow, enabling physicians to read and report their studies faster and more efficiently.
The new Voxar 3D suite is available with a full set of integrated clinical applications, including VesselMetrix for quantitative 3D vessel analysis, CardiaMetrix for CT cardiac analysis, ColonMetrix for CT colonography and PET-CT Fusion for the interpretation of whole body oncology studies.

ProSolv CardioVascular, a FUJIFILM company, released ProSolv CardioVascular 4.0, a new software release featuring a Web-based application for full viewing and reporting capabilities using Web communication protocols, secured via SSL, in addition to a Web URL single-click application download and installation for easier deployment.
Other enhancements include new advanced clinical tools to further aid the diagnostic process, and the full integration to FUJIFILM Medical Systems’ Synapse PACS.

Sage Software will feature its RIS and PACS solution at RSNA 2008. Designed for radiology practices of all sizes, Sage Intergy RIS features patient flow tracking and sophisticated appointment scheduling to split billing.

EmpowerCTA injector system offers both ACIST’s patented extravasation detection accessory (EDA) and a saline chase. This CT injector features air embolism protection, on-the-fly flow rate manipulation and syringe loading and arming at the injector.

GE Healthcare launched a new ultrasound system for radiology and vascular applications, the LOGIQ E9, which fuses ultrasound images with images from other imaging modalities like CT and MR.
The LOGIQ E9 includes volume navigation, a tool incorporating two key components to maximize the system’s ultrasound architecture: fusion to combine the advantages of real-time ultrasound imaging with the high spatial and contrast resolution of CT, MR or PET; and a GPS-like technology to track and mark a patient’s anatomy during the ultrasound exam.

TomoTherapy reported that the FDA has granted 510(k) clearance for its radiation therapy technology, TomoDirect, designed to complement helical tomotherapy and faster treatment planning.

The Fabius MRI employs the same user interface as Draeger’s Fabius GS, Fabius Tiro and Apollo machines, creating a uniform and consistent interface for the anesthesia provider wherever required.
The size of the MRI system often requires the anesthesia provider to be outside the room or some distance away from the device during an examination. To accommodate this, additional optical alarm displays (LEDs) at the top of the system provide visual indication for all alarm conditions for the safety of the patient in this specialized environment.

Two new FUJIFILM Computed Radiography (FCR) systems – FCR XL-2 and FCR XC-2 – are customized to meet the imaging needs of private practices, including orthopedic, chiropractic, internal medicine and urgent care facilities and are now available.
Both systems include enhancements to the previous generation of FUJIFILM’s digital X-ray systems, reportedly delivering superior image quality and enhanced throughput in a compact design, making them ideal for any private practice.
