October 8, 2008 - Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the breast continues to show double digit growth in 2008 and is one of the fastest growing procedures in the magnetic resonance departments, reported Arlington Medical Resources (AMR), a provider of premier market intelligence for the pharmaceutical and diagnostic imaging industries.
The newly released edition of the Imaging Market Guide also finds that approximately 90 percent of patients undergoing an MRI of the breast received a contrast agent during the study to improve the delineation between normal and abnormal tissues.
