Feb. 4, 2026 —The HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition has announced that acclaimed actor and philanthropist Jeremy Renner will serve as the closing keynote speaker at the event, taking place March 9-12 at the Venetian Convention and Expo Center in Las Vegas.

Feb. 9, 2026 — MRIguidance, a MedTech company developing BoneMRI, a radiation-free bone imaging solution, has appointed Guido Zijl as CEO, succeeding Roel Kellenaers.

Zijl most recently served as vice president at Globus Medical and brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the medical device industry.

“MRI Guidance has built a technology with clear benefits to patients, doctors and hospital workflow," said Zijl.

“Our priority is to accelerate the adoption of BoneMRI in the United States and Europe and extend the company’s platform capabilities.”

Beyond 64-Slice CT

Advances in coronary CT angiography (CCTA) have reached the point where image quality and AI capabilities are creating new clinical possibilities.      

Take, for example, identifying partial arterial obstructions in asymptomatic patients. A decade ago, a stress test was the preferred method of doing so. “But research in thousands of patients and studies has shown us that it’s about as good as a coin flip in identifying a serious blockage,” says cardiologist Alberto Morales, MD, with South Tampa Cardiology.

Feb. 5, 2026 — Eyas Medical Imaging, Inc. has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for its Ascent3T Neonatal Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) System, a whole-body magnetic resonance scanner designed and optimized specifically for neonate and infant anatomy, including head, body and extremities.

Feb. 5, 2026 — BrightHeart, a global provider of AI-driven prenatal ultrasound, has announced the availability of its B-Right AI Platform through GE HealthCare’s Voluson Solution Store, bringing advanced AI support directly into routine prenatal care.

Feb. 3, 2026 — RevealDx, a leader in the characterization of lung nodules, recently announced FDA clearance of RevealAI-Lung. The company had previously announced MDR certification in November of 2025.

The RevealDX technology characterizes nodules by producing a Malignancy Similarity Index (mSI), a score that helps radiologists make more informed follow-up recommendations to assist in cancer diagnosis. The company has validated the software on over 1,500 patients from a variety of cohorts. 

Feb. 4, 2026 — A new review published in the American Journal of Roentgenology (AJR) finds that advances in CT technology over the past 25 years have enabled routine radiation dose reductions by a factor of 2 to 10, while preserving diagnostic performance when applied appropriately.
