With over 2,000 systems installed worldwide and interest in 3-D technology growing exponentially, a significant focus of Hologic’s exhibit at the 2014 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) meeting is on new enhancements to the company’s 3-D Mammography platform.

The Gammex 410 family of ultrasound phantoms lets users pick and choose what level of testing is right for quality assurance. All 410 phantoms allow evaluation of uniformity and artifacts, geometric accuracy and system sensitivity economically. This phantom provides a standard of quality assurance required for routine testing of ultrasound scanning systems.

Carestream will highlight the latest digital radiography (DR) X-ray system enhancements to its imaging systems at RSNA 2014.

Infinitt North America will be featuring Dose M 2.0 radiation dose tracking software at this year’s RSNA in Chicago. The new version expands the capture of dose data from multiple-modalities and can be integrated with radiology information systems (RIS), picture archive and communication systems (PACS) or electronic medical records (EMRs) to make dose information accessible as part of the patient record.

Calgary Scientific Inc. has gained U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance of ResolutionMD 4.0 diagnostic medical imaging software for all modalities and China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) certification for diagnosis on mobile devices in China.
