Global Practice Information Report

Telemis has launched a new version of its picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) software at the Journées Françaises de Radiologie (JFR) technical exhibition and congress in Paris. Telemis-Medical PACS version 4.6 includes advanced functions for 360° medical imaging and ultrasound reporting and offers a new architecture to reduce image processing overheads. Version 4.6 also supports migration to true multimedia archiving and communication system (MACS) functionality by providing a route to handling non-DICOM images, including pictures from smartphones and tablets.

Medical Content Management

At RSNA 2014, Lexmark’s Perceptive Software will introduce to radiology professionals its new medical content management (MCM) solution to capture, access, manage and share medical images and supporting documents found throughout the clinical enterprise. MCM represents the convergence of vendor neutral archiving (VNA) and enterprise content management (ECM), combined with enterprise image connectivity (EIC) tools to capture images and video.

DR Systems adds a new capability to eMix, its HIPAA-compliant, cloud-based medical information exchange platform. Now, patients and physicians can upload medical information - including large diagnostic imaging files - simply and securely with the click of a button that can be placed on any healthcare provider's website.

NeuroLogica brings the power of CT technology imaging to the patient through mobile platforms.

Healthcare organizations looking to implement low dose protocols for computed tomography (CT) exams on all scanners, regardless of disparate locations, can now benefit from SafeCT Enterprise from Medic Vision. The solution will be displayed at RSNA 2014.
