Cerebriu Secures CE Mark for First OEM-Embedded AI Product with Siemens Healthineers

Aug. 29, 2025 - Cerebriu recently announced it had received the CE mark for its Apollo Smart Protocol as an OEM-embedded solution within Siemens Healthineers MRI consoles.

The CE-mark represents a regulatory breakthrough — the first-ever clearance for embedded clinical AI in MRI systems from a leading global manufacturer. Combined with new funding, it paves the way for global deployment of intelligent MRI.

“Radiology is at a pivotal inflection point, where smart clinical AI will define scanner performance,” said Robert Lauritzen, CEO/co-founder of Cerebriu. “CE-marking of the OEM-embedded Apollo Smart Protocol validates the robustness of our technology and proves that AI can be seamlessly integrated into MRI systems at scale.”

Cerebriu’s Apollo Smart Protocol enables MRI technologists to adapt imaging protocols in real time, while the patient is still in the scanner. The AI makes it possible to tailor sequences based on detected pathologies, resulting in more personalized, efficient, and complete imaging in a single exam.

“We’re excited to work with Cerebriu to further unlock smarter MRI workflows. Their ability to integrate AI seamlessly into clinical practice has the potential to accelerate productivity and open new value for both providers and industry,” said Dr. Florian Meise, VP MR Portfolio, Partners and Digital at Siemens Healthineers.

With CE-marking secured for the OEM-integrated Apollo Smart Protocol and strategic partnerships underway with other MRI vendors, Cerebriu is now scaling its Apollo Suite across Europe, the U.S., Asia and the Middle East. The company is now working toward FDA clearance.
