At HIMSS23, AGFA HealthCare promoted its latest generation of the Enterprise Imaging platform (AGFA EI). The platform, according to the company, was designed to support health systems’ goals to deliver sustainable and superior care outcomes, across local community networks or geographically distributed organizations. This latest generation of its Enterprise Imaging solution, it notes, “breaks the old paradigm of routing data to the user and instead brings the ‘user to the data’ via real-time streaming technology.”
Intelerad Medical Systems, a leading global provider of enterprise medical imaging solutions, also showcased its enhanced Enterprise Imaging and Informatics Suite during HIMSS23. It reported that since its initial launch, the Suite now features the largest medical image exchange network in the world, as its newly fortified portfolio now includes over 18,000 image exchange network clients connected internationally through Intelerad solutions This follows Intelerad’s acquisition of Life Image in late 2022.

Earlier this year, Canon Medical Informatics, Inc. extended its EI solutions suite to include pathology through its partnership with Tribun Health, which it noted provides new capability for healthcare organizations to efficiently include pathology into their enterprise imaging plans as part of their precision informatics roadmaps. It further reported the EI offers an all-in-one suite of solutions, and one comprehensive partnership for the most imaging-intensive departments, such as radiology, cardiology, endoscopy and now pathology.
