Targeting Transducers with 4D

The 4D Localization System is a target localization platform based on detection of AC electromagnetic markers, called Beacon transponders. Beacon transponders send signals to the 4D localization system that generate objective location instructions to the radiation therapist to register the patients treatment target to isocenter prior to treatment.
A misalignment of the treatment target can reportedly be detected by an algorithm that identifies sub-millimeter shifts of the target. An intuitive graphical user interface is programmed to exhibit real-time graphs instantaneously, highlighting shifts in position that exceed a predetermined threshold. This product is not yet available for use.
