PerkinElmer, LinaTech Enter into Joint Development and Marketing Agreement

November 1, 2010 – Two medical companies have entered into a joint technology developing and marketing agreement for imaging technologies for treating certain types of cancer. LinaTech and PerkinElmer will work to develop upgrades for legacy film-based radiotherapy systems.

The companies will also look to develop, implement, market and distribute as imaging subsystems for sales to radiotherapy system manufacturers. The first generation product, the LinaTech TiGRT Image Viewing System, will be showcased at the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) conference in San Diego, Calif. The system has 510(k) approval by the FDA.
