July 25, 2007 – Accelerations Inc., a U.S. provider of oncology equipment service and distributor of new and pre-owned radiotherapy equipment, recently displayed its TheraView LX electronic portal imaging devices (EPID), image guided radiotherapy (IGRT) cancer treatment verification systems designed by Dutch manufacturer Cablon Medical BV, at the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) annual meeting in Minneapolis, MN.

The TheraView system, designed for the precise needs of radiation therapy, reportedly delivers clinicians an extensive scope of mega-voltage portal imaging and quality assurance features for daily IGRT verification. The TheraView Target Check, with automated treatment beam shape verification and patient position verification software is said to give the precision and control clinicians need for both conventional, IGRT and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT).
