4D Console Controls IMRT, IGRT

Imaging control capabilities for 3-D Conformal, Intensity-Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) and dynamic targeting for Image-Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT) are integrated in Varian’s 4D Integrated Treatment Console. The 4D console streamlines the front end of the treatment process by integrating controls of the linear accelerator, multi-leaf collimator (MLC) and electronic portal imagery into a single workstation. The system supports advanced imaging, including image acquisition, using customizable image sequence templates such as single image prior to treatment and double exposure. It also enables pre-scheduled image acquisition, ad hoc image acquisition, image-only session and post-treatment imaging.
The 4D console is based on the DICOM RT standard as well as third-party record and verify networks.
