August 9, 2017 — In the first major study of its kind, researchers using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) have identified structural abnormalities in the brains of people with one of the most common genetic causes of autism. The study was published online in the journal Radiology.

2nd Annual Prostate Cancer Symposium and Inaugural World Congress of Urologic Oncology

The Department of Urology at the Mount Sinai Health System is hosting its 2nd Annual International Prostate Cancer Symposium and Inaugural World Congress in collaboration with Society of Urologic Robotic Surgeons and Endourological Society. Xavier University has launched the Xavier Center for Artificial Intelligence (AI), a pioneering effort to accelerate the use of artificial intelligence to improve healthcare. The Center’s first major initiative will be the AI Summit on Aug. 24-25 on Xavier’s campus in Cincinnati. Xavier will lead representatives from the medical device and pharmaceutical industries and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to further develop artificial intelligence to promote and protect patient health.
