Konica Minolta Medical Imaging announced that the 14-by-51-inch long-length cassette assembly for use with the Xpress CR and IQue CR systems is available. The long-length cassette assemblies are designed for digital capture of full-length leg and full-length spine of patients taller than 6 ft. 6 inches with a single exposure.

Sectra MicroDose Mammography is in full clinical operation and can maximize image quality, increase throughput and minimize radiation exposure for an ever-growing installed base.
The company reportedly offers a total mammography solution, including a mammography stand, a PACS dedicated to breast imaging, a distinctive integration capability with information systems, all designed to facilitate high-volume screening requirements.

As part of GE Healthcare’s campaign to accelerate diagnosis and therapies for cancer, it has developed a new contrast agent designed for imaging angiogenesis called the F18 Angio radioactive PET. The new agent tracks the process of angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels in the body, which are formed during wound healing, but also as cancerous tumors recruit blood vessels to sustain accelerated growth. The theory is that a molecular imaging agent that binds to angiogenesis could help physicians locate tumors.

Two new versions of the EMC Celerra platform are available. The mid-tier EMC Celerra NS350 and EMC Celerra NS704 integrated systems are the storage foundation of an IP-based information lifecycle management (ILM) strategy.

The newest offering in the InDex suite of services is InDex Link. The Xeleris 2 is an advanced nuclear medicine review workstation. One noteworthy feature of the system is XFL (Xeleris Floating License), which allows the ability for clinicians to read and process nuclear medicine images from PCs throughout the institution.
The workstation reportedly simplifies clinicians’ workflow by allowing the replacement and removal of other devices. It also updates other GE nuclear medicine cameras, while maintaining compatibility with aged archive media.

The Terason t3000 Ultrasound System is based upon proprietary Teratech Architecture, which combines the front-end Fusion Processor with PC-based back-end data processing. It runs as a Windows application on a laptop computer and can be instantly converted from a portable unit to a cart-based system.
According to the manufacturer, the Fusion Processor is the only fully custom-designed, integrated ultrasound chip set in the world. It enables ultrasound image processing power in a small system.
