July 31, 2007 - Medtronic Inc. announced it has entered into a distribution and development agreement with Axon Systems, a privately-held developer of neuromonitoring technology used during spinal surgery.

July 31, 2007 - The U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has awarded ECRI Institute a new three-year contract to operate, enhance, and maintain two Web-based initiatives for AHRQ.

The two sites are the National Guideline Clearinghouse (NGC), www.guideline.gov, for evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, and the National Quality Measures Clearinghouse (NQMC), www.qualitymeasures.ahrq.gov, for evidence-based quality measures and measure sets.

July 31, 2007 - Hologic Inc., a provider of diagnostic and digital imaging systems directed toward women’s health, announced results for the quarter ended June 30, 2007, with record revenues of $191.5 million and earnings of $24.7 million.
Hologic also reported a record 328 Selenia full field digital mammography systems installed and recognized as revenue, a record backlog of $222.1 million and cash balance increases to $93.8 million.

July 31, 2007 - UniWeb PACS, a multimodality Web-based solution from EBM Technologies, has received FDA clearance.

EBM UniWeb can reportedly store, communicate, process and display images within the system and/or across a computer network at distributed locations.
