The Medipattern Corp. announced seven new B-CAD products: six versions of B-CAD for breast ultrasound imaging, including B-CAD 1.2.1 and B-CAD 2.2 and one version for breast MRI (magnetic resonance imaging).

In addition to CAD for film-based mammography, Carestream Health will show CAD software for its CR-based mammography platforms, as well as CAD software for other vendors’ full-field digital mammography (FFDM) systems. The CAD for CR and FFDM solutions are available outside of the U.S.

The company will also demonstrate Chest CAD and bone mineral density testing on its KODAK DIRECTVIEW DR 3000 platform. These applications are currently only available in China.

Carl Zeiss MicroImaging GmbH, a provider of microscopy solutions for a variety of research, clinical and industrial applications, introduced ZEN 2007, a new software for laser scanning microscopes, reportedly creating an optimal fusion between state-of-the-art technology and intuitive user-guidance.

InDex 5 will contain new features that will improve enterprise workflow and management capabilities. Responding to the growing demand for enterprise solutions from OEM partners and their clients, InSite One has developed a roadmap to enhance the InDex Archive services preparing users for the future.

Radlink’s ThinPACS is a stand-alone PACS offering specifically built and scaled for the private practice market. It is a reportedly robust, completely standards-based medical imaging communications and storage system offered at a fraction of the cost of other PACS on the market.

Philips will feature its iSite Radiology, a complete radiology viewing solution designed to help users meet throughput goals. The iSite Radiology features real-time, enterprise-wide delivery of diagnostic quality images to support multiple locations and offsite users and a customizable, reportedly easy to use user interface and advanced workflow tools designed by radiologists to improve efficiency and increase throughput.

Tighter integration between the systems offer enhanced image access and scheduling/billing/process management for radiologists and administrative staff. Additional enhancements in these latest versions include an improved information NovaCentral support “command center” for real-time remote monitoring and referring physician features in NovaPACS to enhance image reading efficiency.
