April 24, 2026 — The 2026 vacancy rate for radiation therapists decreased to 11.4% and the vacancy rate for medical dosimetrists decreased to 6.8%, according to the biennial ASRT Radiation Therapy Workplace and Staffing Survey. This is compared to a 13.6% vacancy rate for radiation therapists and 9.6% for medical dosimetrists reported in the 2024 staffing survey.
