June 17, 2008 - The University of California, San Diego Medical Center’s Hyperbaric Medicine Center is part of a nationwide effort to compile and evaluate data in order to validate whether cancer patients being treated for radiation-related wounds heal more quickly and more thoroughly with hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

The Infinity Omega solution integrates a two-screen patient monitoring solution and consists of a full-function patient monitor capable of supporting patient transport.

Its 20-inch medical-grade touchscreen bedside computer brings IT applications to the point of care. Infinity Omega displays real-time monitoring and ventilation data together with networked data, such as lab results, DICOM/X-ray images and patient/anesthesia data management system information and allows control of monitoring functions from either screen.

June 16, 2008 - 3M Health Care said today its 3M Rapid Detection Flu A B Test demonstrated better clinical and analytical sensitivity when compared to the BinaxNOW Influenza A & B Test for influenza A and B, according to research by clinical virology researchers from the North Shore-Long Island Jewish (LIJ) Health System.

The results of the study were recently presented at the 24th Annual Clinical Virology Symposium in Daytona Beach, FL.
