December 30, 2011 — NetApp and Iron Mountain Inc. recently announced a partnership to provide healthcare organizations with a secure cloud-based solution for medical data archiving and disaster recovery. Iron Mountain is currently the only healthcare-focused member of the NetApp Service Provider Partner Program, which was officially launched in June 2010.

December 29, 2011 — Premier Imaging Ventures announced it has spun off several of its support entities to create a new venture called Lucid Radiology Solutions. The new company’s mission is to empower regional radiology groups with technology and insight that will increase the strategic value of their radiology practices.

December 29, 2011 — Medrad Inc. recently released the Certegra Informatics Connect.RIS vendor-neutral informatics application. The system establishes connectivity between Medrad's Stellant contrast-injection systems, and hospital radiology reporting systems and radiology information systems (RIS).

December 29 2011 – The Cleveland Clinic recently deployed Agfa HealthCare’s Impax 6.5 solution as the network’s PACS (picture archiving and communication system). The facility installed Impax 6.5, the latest software version, as part of its contract with Agfa. 

December 29, 2011 — Merge Healthcare announced the launch of Merge Honeycomb, a new cloud-based platform, at RSNA 2011. In addition, the company announced its first application in the cloud – free image sharing. Users can upload, download, view, and share medical images anywhere, anytime.
