FEI released RemoteViz for Open Inventor, a software development framework for interactive remote 2-D and 3-D visualization.

Open Inventor SDK is platform for developers of all types of visualization software on desktop and mobile environments: 2-D and 3-D imaging, image processing and analysis, PACS, diagnosis and surgical planning, device modeling and printing, simulation and training.
 

September 25, 2014 — Agfa HealthCare announced Summa Health System selected the company’s digital radiography (DR) technologies, including the DX-D Retrofit and DX-D 100 mobile DR systems, DX-M multi-plate CR and CR 30-X single plate tabletop CR (computed radiography), in combination with an upgrade of Agfa HealthCare’s patented Musica image processing software through the Digital Radiography Upgrade Program.

September 25, 2014 — Materialise announced that orthopedic surgeon Roger Jaeken, M.D., of AZ Heilige Familie in Reet, Belgium, has successfully performed the first total knee surgery that was pre-planned with the Materialise X-ray knee guide solution. The new proprietary technology allows for preplanning of knee replacement surgeries as well as the 3-D printing of related surgical guides solely on the basis of 2-D X-ray images.
