November 8, 2017 — Fujifilm Healthcare will showcase a variety of imaging and information technology solutions at the 2017 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting, including its Women’s Health portfolio and a brand-new Pediatrics portfolio. At RSNA 2017, the company will feature the two dedicated areas in its booth to demonstrate how the comprehensive portfolio of solutions can help healthcare providers impact patient care.
Fujifilm's portfolio of Women's Health solutions was built smarter based on insights that impact patient care, according to the company. The integrated, multimodality suite of solutions designed to help improve breast cancer patient care, in addition to an ultrasound-guided breast biopsy system, includes:
- The Aspire Cristalle 3-D Mammography System, now with digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT). The system is designed to optimize image acquisition, regardless of breast composition, at a low dose with state-of-the-art, Hexagonal Close Pattern (HCP) image capture technology and intelligent image processing, optimizing contrast and dose based on auto recognition of breast characteristics. It helps deliver patient comfort with its patented Comfort Paddle and provides a scalable platform for future technologies;
- For even further enhanced imaging excellence, Fujifilm is offering its Dynamic Visualization II for Mammography (DVIIm) image processing software with the Aspire Cristalle (FFDM). The second generation offers intelligent auto-recognition of breast tissue, implant and structural characteristics to intelligently adapt image contrast and density, for enhanced diagnostic visibility. DVIIm provides improved contrast and density stability throughout the entire exposure region and achieves improved visibility across a wide range of breast compositions including the presence of implants; and
- Synapse 5 PACS (picture archiving and communication system), one of the fastest medical imaging solutions in the industry, according to Fujifilm. The system offers subsecond delivery of extremely large datasets. Its underlying architecture promotes significantly less bandwidth consumption and tighter security.
In addition to exhibiting its latest technology in women's health, Fujifilm offer RSNA attendees a complimentary symposium, Innovations in Mammography for Improved Patient Care. The event will convene U.S. healthcare experts for an evening of networking and discussion along with a distinguished panel of global opinion leaders in women's health to explore the latest strategies and technologies in the use of digital breast tomosynthesis in the fight against breast cancer.
Fujifilm also announced the launch of its brand-new Pediatrics portfolio. Featuring a comprehensive range of digital radiography, healthcare information technology (IT) and ultrasound solutions, the Pediatrics portfolio is designed to help tackle one of healthcare's most complex and unique challenges: imaging children. Products in the portfolio focus on sharper images with gentler dose and patient comfort, as well as everything needed to present and protect data.
The company will also highlight several of its SonoSite portable point-of-care ultrasound units. The SonoSite SII empowers efficiency through an intuitive, smart user interface that adapts to imaging needs.
