March 26, 2012 - RadLynx LLC, a provider of medical software for the iPad and iPhone, announces the availability of the latest versions of the NeuroRad atlases.  Since its initial release in August 2011, NeuroRad for the iPad hit #1 highest grossing medical app in 23 countries and reached the top 10 in 55 countries.  Both NeuroRad for the iPad and NeuroRad Mini for the iPhone are priced at $9.99 to ensure easy affordability.

The independent review site iMedicalApps.com posted these recent review conclusions:

? NeuroRad for iPad is a great app for medical professionals.

? NeuroRad for iPad is a fantastic application for radiology residents with an excellent neuroradiology atlas.

? Has a range of uses for healthcare professionals ranging from student to resident.

? An all-round excellent application for those interested in neurological imaging.

“The NeuroRad apps are designed for actual day-to-day use in clinical medicine,” said Michael Vincent Klein, M.D., president of RadLynx LLC, an American Board of Radiology-certified neuroradiologist.  “All NeuroRad atlases include all advertised content.  No subscription, in-app purchasing or internet connection required to access the atlases or reference materials.”

The iPad version of NeuroRad has three main sections:

- ATLAS. Multiple multi-touch atlases, including a fully labeled anatomic structure multi-planar MRI Atlas of the Brain with axial, sagittal and coronal images, a colorized vascular territory atlas and multiple arterial and venous CT and MRI angiography atlases.  The atlases are all optimized for the iPad's interface and large screen.

- WEBLINKS. An up-to-date organized collection of live internet links to useful neuroradiology and related websites. Includes many hard-to-find reference sites.

- REFERENCE. Primarily a text-based resource and features a limited collection of differential diagnosis lists and quick reference guides, including numerous radiological and clinical classification and grading scales for selected topics.

NeuroRad Mini is an iPhone-specific, completely reengineered and miniaturized version of the cross-sectional imaging MRI Brain atlas found in the full-size NeuroRad for the iPad.
