Oct. 28, 2026 — Clarius Mobile Health has announced 30 specialized AI models are now integrated into Clarius App 13.1.

Since introducing its first on-device AI model in 2020, Clarius has rapidly expanded its AI portfolio across clinical measurements, anatomical education, and intelligent workflows. With 30 integrated models, compared with 16 AI technologies reported in December 2025, Clarius is demonstrating the accelerating pace of its software-driven innovation.

"The next era of ultrasound won't be defined by portability alone. It will be defined by intelligence," said Kris Dickie, chief technology officer at Clarius. "Thirty models is just the beginning. We've built the technology, expertise, and momentum to continuously advance what handheld ultrasound can do. We're not just making ultrasound more portable. We're redefining what clinicians can expect from it."

Intelligent Ultrasound

Clarius' expanding AI portfolio brings intelligence into three essential aspects of the clinical ultrasound experience:

  1. AI THAT ENHANCES DIAGNOSTIC WORKFLOW — 12 Models: Automates steps in clinical measurements across cardiac imaging, obstetrics, urology, and musculoskeletal medicine. From AI-assisted ejection fraction assessment to prostate and bladder volume measurements, these capabilities reduce manual tasks while keeping clinicians in control.

  2. AI THAT BRINGS ANATOMY TO LIFE — 14 Models: Clarius T-Mode overlays anatomical illustrations and labels onto live ultrasound images, turning scans into visual learning opportunities that help clinicians recognize structures and build scanning confidence.

  3. AI THAT SIMPLIFIES — 4 Models: Intelligent preset selection, voice commands, and speech-to-text capabilities streamline ultrasound workflows, reducing manual interactions so clinicians can focus on the examination, not the technology.

Continuous Innovation

Clarius combines on-device AI processing with a proprietary, in-house development platform designed for continuous innovation. AI models run directly on compatible smartphones and tablets, enabling supported capabilities without an internet connection during scanning. New capabilities can be delivered through software updates, extending the value of compatible existing scanners without requiring hardware replacement.

"Our proprietary AI development platform has fundamentally changed the pace of innovation," added Dickie. "We can move from a clinical idea to a working AI model in a matter of weeks. Combined with our experience bringing regulated AI solutions to market, this allows us to accelerate innovation and put increasingly intelligent ultrasound capabilities into clinicians' hands through software."

Clarius' AI innovation is supported by an established regulatory track record, including FDA-cleared AI models and CE-marked capabilities for European markets. Its AI is designed to simplify clinical workflows, support anatomical learning, and assist with measurements while keeping clinicians in control.

With the industry's largest publicly documented integrated AI portfolio and an innovation engine built for speed, Clarius is advancing a new era of ultrasound where intelligence evolves continuously, capabilities expand through software, and sophisticated imaging becomes more accessible at the point of care.

Availability

Clarius App 13.1 is available for compatible Clarius wireless handheld ultrasound scanners. Feature availability varies by scanner, market, and regulatory authorization.
