October 6, 2009 – ProSolv CardioVascular, a Fujifilm company, recently said the Veterans in Partnership Healthcare Network (VISN 11) has extended its relationship with the company by contracting to add the Synapse ProSolv Cardiovascular solution in four additional hospitals.

The Synapse ProSolv cardiovascular system is replacing the current echocardiography and cardiac catheterization solutions in use at each facility, consolidating the existing IT infrastructure and providing the facilities with improved connectivity, enhanced system reliability, and system ease-of-use for all clinicians. VISN 11 is one of 21 Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISNs) of the Department of Veterans Affairs. VISN-11 is comprised of seven VA medical centers and 20 operating community-based outpatient clinics (CBOC) that provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient health care to veterans in central Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and northwest Ohio. The hospitals included in this contract are all located in Michigan: Ann Arbor, Detroit, Battle Creek and Saginaw.

ProSolv CardioVascular’s software solutions consist of advanced reporting and image management software, comprehensive support services and integration with third-party clinical applications. The Synapse ProSolv Cardiovascular Enterprise Image and Information Management solution improves physician productivity, enhances customer revenue opportunities, automates complex medical imaging workflow, and maximizes customers’ return on investment in capital equipment and clinical information systems.
