The acquisition unites two leaders in cloud-based medical imaging.

Studycast Purchases UltraLinQ

Aug. 26, 2025 — Core Sound Imaging, the company behind the widely established Studycast medical imaging workflow platform, has acquired UltraLinQ Healthcare Solutions, a provider of cloud-based PACS and cardiac monitoring solutions. This platform expansion is part of Studycast's strategic growth initiative to consolidate strong imaging solutions under one robust platform.

The acquisition marks a significant milestone in the progression of cloud-based medical imaging, combining the strengths of two established platforms. Studycast, known for its scalable and intuitive imaging workflow, will now support an even broader base of healthcare providers, from small practices to large hospital networks.

"We've long admired UltraLinQ's commitment to the same tenets as Core Sound Imaging: delivering some of the most advanced, dependable, and user-friendly imaging experience in the industry," said Lindsey Klein, CEO of Core Sound Imaging. "This acquisition allows us to further solidify that promise to our customers and the market."

UltraLinQ Chief Operations Officer Theo Vouniseas says that the acquisition marks an exciting opportunity for customers. "UltraLinQ prioritizes simplicity, reliability, and customer support," he said. "Joining forces with Studycast allows us to elevate that mission by offering our customers a more powerful platform without compromising on the values they trust."

UltraLinQ customers will gain access to Studycast's advanced features, including:

  • Seamless integration across EMRs and modalities
  • Access to AI-enhanced diagnostic tools
  • User-configurable worksheets and studies pages
  • Workflow automation tools to improve turnaround times
  • Over 120 study-specific worksheets and reports
  • Mobile-friendly interface
  • Superior training and support

"We're committed to making this transition as smooth and beneficial as possible for our users," Vouniseas added.

In 2024, Core Sound Imaging announced an $80 million growth investment from PSG, a leading growth equity firm that focuses on partnering with software and technology-enabled services organizations to drive transformational growth.
