Siemens Medical Solutions introduced the Axiom Luminos dRF, a new remote fluoroscopy system with flat detector technology, and announced enhancements to the Axiom Aristos FX Plus, the company’s fully automatic digital radiography system.

Luminos is a remote radiographic and fluoroscopic solution with FD technology that makes the system a fully digital solution for fluoroscopic and radiographic examinations. The system is specially designed for fluoroscopy imaging of obese patients, supporting up to 500 pounds static weight.

Aristos FX Plus, an update to the Aristos FX, is the first fully automatic digital radiography system. It features a compact footprint with reduced table size requirements and elimination of the system’s headrest. Technologists can operate the system from anywhere in the room using the optional wireless remote control. The unit’s flat detector features a detector housing and grid management system that enables simple grid insertion and removal with the push of a button.
