July 7, 2008 – Viztek installed its newest U-arm DR system featuring an integrated flat panel detector delivering superior image quality in a flexible U-arm configuration that streamlines patient positioning and workflow at Southeastern Integrated Medical, PL, a multispecialty practice group in Gainsville, FL.

In conjunction with Viztek's Opal-PACS, the new DR offering can reportedly enhance your workflow with superior image quality. The new line of Viztek DR solutions use integrated flat panel detectors to provide a superior imaging experience over standard analog film or CR. Viztek's DR offers advanced image quality and full DICOM functionality.

The DR solution (powered by CMT's SmartRAD) offers a console reportedly with state-of-the-art connectivity. DICOM-compatibility allows the new DR to work seamlessly with the tested Web-based Opal-RAD PACS. X-ray parameters for exposure, review, post-processing operations and filming can be controlled from a single console.

The new DR solution was selected to provide quick and easy digital workflow for a variety of imaging applications. The system has reportedly cut down the staff required to supervise exams, while maintaining the same procedure volume. The facility performs 60 to 85 X-ray procedures daily.

Viztek is a provider of complete digital software and hardware imaging solutions, backed by comprehensive training and support. The company’s Opal-RAD PACS and RIS suite delivers advanced connectivity and functionality. Web-based architecture, with image streaming reportedly ensures timely, efficient communications throughout the enterprise and beyond.
