Fovia Expands into Latin America with Visual Medica

February 18, 2014 — Fovia Inc. and Visual Medica are collaborating to deliver innovative, cost-effective advanced visualization to the Latin American market.

Latin America’s numerous medical imaging sub-markets have their own unique requirements, including the challenge of balancing institution-specific economic goals and constraints with the growing need for upgraded, state-of-the-art imaging equipment and the increasing demand for advanced imaging procedures. Visual Medica has joined forces with Fovia to address these sometimes-conflicting objectives by developing advanced visualization products with the highest quality standards, while keeping such products accessible, agile and affordable. 

Fovia’s High Definition Volume Rendering software provides interactive rendering quality and performance, and its flexibility, scalability and memory efficiency facilitate the development of cost-effective solutions. Visual Medica’s products, including picture archive and communication system (PACS) solutions, digital imaging and communincation in medicine (DICOM) viewers, web platforms and teleradiology systems will be able to take full advantage of Fovia’s CPU-based HDVR for local, enterprise-wide and cloud-based visualization.
