Couchtop allows direct access to central nervous system cancer patients for proton therapy

Civco Highlights Universal Couchtop ProForm at ASTRO 2019

August 30, 2019 — Civco will display its Universal Couchtop ProForm Head & Neck Solution at the 2019 American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) annual meeting, Sept. 15-18 in Chicago.

The Universal Couchtop ProForm allows proton therapy centers direct access to effectively treat central nervous system (CNS) cancer patients. The extension is quick and easy to attach, and features a large 121.5 cm junction-free and artifact-free treatment area. The ProForm contains a homogeneous treatment area with soft gradient edges that reduce beam degradation. The couchtop accepts a thermoplastic mask with a smaller profile frame and pin similar to Civco’s Type-S system.
