Barco will bring to RSNA its Voxar 3D Enterprise solution that reportedly dramatically accelerates the speed at which technologists, radiologists and referring physicians can view large volumetric image studies throughout the medical enterprise.

According to the company, Voxar 3D Enterprise rapidly delivers large volumetric image studies to a high-performance diagnostic workstation, running Voxar 3D Elite for local processing and analysis.

The system supports 8 Voxar 3D Elite and 8 Voxar 3D Access users. Up to 16 users can access the Voxar 3D's advanced visualization tools on a concurrent "floating" license basis from any networked PC throughout the enterprise.

Powerful graphics cards provide hardware-based 3D acceleration, delivering real-time video rates of over 20 frames per second on standard PCs. Voxar 3D Enterprise can also act as a data cache in environments without a PACS or when the PACS is not designed to manage volumetric data.
