September 27, 2012 — Avreo announced its latest application, interWorks Mobile, will now be available exclusively from the Apple App Store. interWorks Mobile is designed for referring physicians on the go, providing real-time access to images and reports in Avreo interWorks Version 7. With interWorks Mobile, healthcare professionals can quickly view referential radiology images, as well as corresponding finalized reports from an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. No matter where they are, physicians can quickly find a patient’s information with the app’s intuitive search feature. Users can then toggle between the Report and Images tabs for a comprehensive view of the findings.

“For the referring physician, mobile devices will allow for more convenient access to the patient’s reports and images and will ultimately improve the efficiency of patient care,” said Minh DoVan, director of picture archiving and communication system (PACS) development at Avreo.

interWorks Mobile is compatible with Avreo interWorks Version 7 servers, and requires a user name and password issued by an affiliated healthcare organization.

InterWorks Mobile offers the following unique features for healthcare professionals on the go:

  • Compatible with Avreo interworks version 7 servers.
  • Requires a username and password issued by an affiliated healthcare organization.
