Candelis Inc. has added an advanced Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) solution to its ImageGrid 1000 and 700 encompassing the integration of the Sony LIB-81 and LIB-162 series Advanced Intelligent Tape (AIT) libraries with ImageGrid ILM software.
Candelis’ ImageGrid is a line of fully-integrated, DICOM industry-standard server appliances that speed digital image access and routing, simplify image management and provide reliable storage and archive capabilities.

The next-generation Voluson E8 includes a number of new tools to help improve clinical workflow, including SonoVCAD (Sonography-based Volume Computer Aided Diagnosis), a new automated imaging tool that improves workflow by making it easier to acquire volume images of the fetal heart.

Varian Medical Systems’ exhibit at the 2006 ASTRO meeting focused on the clinical deployment of the company’s technology for advanced radiotherapy, with a special emphasis on the On-Board Imager device for image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT). American Healthcare Products announced that PRN ThermalCare has been given FDA clearance as the Class II Thermal Regulating Device. PRN ThermalCare will be presented at the 2007 AORN meeting, Orlando, Florida.
