November 28, 2011 – At RSNA, Dunlee will spotlight its new Customer App featuring an expanded tube service assistant (TSA). The TSA is an interactive electronic tutorial that guides the removal, installation and calibration of a computed tomography (CT) tube according to OEM guidelines. Presently, the TSA has courses available for the DA 200 replacement tube used in GE LightSpeed Series CT systems and the Reevo 240G replacement tube used in the GE LightSpeed VCT Series CT systems. The TSA is one of the most valuable app components and used extensively by many of Dunlee’s customers.

Dunlee, an OEM supplier of tubes for CT and general X-ray applications, will unveil a new line of tubes for advanced CT applications at RSNA 2011. Dunlee booth visitors can view the new Simplicity tube featuring superior thermal capabilities and outstanding image quality while minimizing artifacts. Simplicity tubes have scalable features that can be customized based on the OEM’s specific needs. The housing assembly allows the OEM to design their CT system around one mechanical tube platform, while having the option to select from a variety of technical options. Simplicity tubes are compatible with 50-100kw applications and available from 4.0-8.0 MHU inserts.  This innovative tube incorporates leading technology such as an added advantage of X and Z dynamic focal spot deflection capabilities, a Dunlee first and exclusive offering.

November 27, 2011 — Candelis announced that it has reached a definitive agreement with Microsoft whereby Candelis’ ASTRA cloud-hosted suite of services will provide for the secure transferring of patient digital medical images and studies to patients’ Microsoft HealthVault accounts upon their request.

November 28, 2011 – A year after clinical trials began in Japan, Fujifilm Medical Systems U.S.A. today announced at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2011 Annual Meeting that clinical trials for their 3-D digital mammography technology are about to commence in the United States. The medical imaging and informatics company is currently installing 3-D mammography systems at renowned medical centers across the country with plans to begin trials as early as December 2011.

November 27, 2011 – BRIT Systems, Inc., announced new cardiac imaging enhancements to WebWorks, a 100% browser-based viewer. The new tools for cardiac ultrasound and optional MPR capabilities are part of Roentgen Works version 1.4, which is being demonstrated in BRIT Systems’ booth #4200 at RSNA 2011.

November 27, 2011 – At RSNA 2011, BRIT Systems, Inc., introduced Peer Review for Radiologists, a cloud-based solution for radiologists to perform peer reviews as per the ACR recommended scoring system. As a cloud-based solution, radiologists can review studies read by radiologists within their group or those read by outside radiologists. The new solution will be shown at BRIT Systems’ RSNA booth #4200.
