With Carestream’s DR Retrofit systems, imaging facilities that have not yet fully upgraded to DR can move forward to full wireless DR imaging at a fraction of the cost of purchasing a new system. Carestream’s retrofit solutions

November 11, 2021 — Carestream Health will be sharing their clear and efficient solutions for expanding to digital radiography (DR) at the upcoming Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2021 conference in Chicago.

With Carestream’s DR Retrofit systems, imaging facilities that have not yet fully upgraded to DR can move forward to full wireless DR imaging at a fraction of the cost of purchasing a new system. Carestream’s retrofit solutions—both rooms and mobiles—use a single wireless detector to convert existing equipment to full digital operation, delivering all the provider and patient benefits of a DR system.

“Carestream’s retrofit solutions help facilities convert to digital quickly and cost effectively,” said Jill Hamman, worldwide marketing manager, Global X-ray Solutions at Carestream. “They empower facilities to leverage their current investment while upgrading to DR productivity to gain workflow efficiencies and enhance patient care.”

Carestream’s self-powered and rechargeable DRX-Transportable System/Lite features a lightweight wireless tablet that allows for the capture and viewing of images at the point of care.

Another efficient pathway to full wireless digital imaging is through Carestream’s affordable Focus 35C and 43C detectors. Focus detectors—available in two sizes, 35x43 and 43x43—are designed for sites currently using film or computed radiography (CR). When paired with Image Suite Software, Focus 35C and 43C detectors present an ideal and budget-friendly solution to tap the power of digital, providing high-quality image capture for better diagnoses and care.
