MammoAssist analyzes a mammogram and processes the imaging data to recognize radiologic features of breast cancer

Telerad Tech Launches MammoAssist AI Software

January 25, 2019 — Telerad Tech recently announced the launch of MammoAssist, a new artificial intelligence (AI) product to analyze and detect breast cancer. The software analyzes a mammogram and processes the imaging data to recognize radiologic features of breast cancer and categorizes it for Breast Imaging-Reporting and Data System (BIRADS) Scoring with a fully detailed structured report. This report is then made available to a radiologist, who corroborates/validates the AI findings and signs the official report.

MammoAssist can enhance the ability of a radiologist to report cases with high accuracy and efficiency. It provides a standard interface to communicate with healthcare systems like radiology information systems/picture archiving and communication systems (RIS/PACS) and electronic medical records (EMRs) through industry-standard application programming interfaces (APIs) and protocols. It can generate reports in multiple languages including English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Polish and Portuguese.

MammoAssist powers Telerad Tech’s next-generation AI-enabled RIS-PACS platform RADSpa, deployed in more than 25 countries. RADSpa is U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved and CE Mark certified in Europe.
