First module in new cloud-based imaging platform improves detection of major chest abnormalities, lung nodule/mass consolidation and pneumothorax

Lunit Insight Offers Cloud-Based AI Analysis for Chest X-rays

January 29, 2018 — Lunit, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered medical image analysis software company, offered the first live demonstration of Lunit Insight, its new advanced, cloud-based AI solution for real-time image analysis, at the 2017 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting, Nov. 26-Dec. 1 in Chicago.

The cloud-based imaging platform delivers Lunit’s state-of-the-art AI models; the first one to be unveiled is the chest X-ray solution, which detects major chest abnormalities, lung nodule/mass consolidation, and pneumothorax with 97 percent standalone accuracy in nodule detection, 99 percent for consolidation and pneumothorax. Studies have also shown Lunit Insight to significantly increase the diagnostic performance of its users up to 20 percent, from non-radiology physicians to radiology experts.

Users can upload their medical images online at the Lunit Insight webpage. AI analysis results appear in just a few seconds, including not only the level of abnormality, but also the visualization of the AI’s attention map.
