Systems designed to help clinicians deliver intelligent technology to enhance productivity and safety

Toshiba Showcases MRI Workflow Enhancements at RSNA 2017

September 21, 2017 — Toshiba Medical will highlight its latest magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology, led by the Vantage Titan/Zen Edition and Vantage Galan 3T, at the 2017 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting, Nov. 26-Dec. 1 in Chicago.

The Zen Edition highlights intelligent workflow and patient comfort, providing a complete clinical offering to help clinicians make accurate diagnoses. The system features patient comfort tools, including Pianissimo Zen, which makes scanning even more quiet by reducing sound during acquisition by 99 percent when mUTE or mUTE 4D-MRA sequences are used. Toshiba Medical’s newest clinical applications, including T1 mapping utilizing Modified Look Locker Inversion-Recovery (MOLLI) sequence, allow providers to acquire a more quantitative characterization of myocardial tissue within a single breath hold. To enhance cardiac imaging workflow, the system features multi-echo T2 Mapping with Toshiba Medical’s updated FFE2D mEcho sequence, which is used in quantification and analysis of myocardial iron overload.

The premium Vantage Galan 3T offers the ability to conduct quick, comfortable and high-quality neuro imaging exams. Designed to increase signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) by up to 20 percent, the system allows for faster sampling and higher-resolution images thanks to PURERF and Saturn technologies. This, combined with the ability to stack protocol sequences, results in quick neuro exams, enabling healthcare providers to produce higher resolution images for myriad neuro exams in under five minutes.* The system’s 71 cm aperture expands access to large and claustrophobic patients while offering non-contrast magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) sequences and Pianissimo Zen technology that reduces sound during acquisition by 99 percent. Additionally, the Vantage Galan 3T enhances diagnostic confidence with advanced clinical applications and helps make exams easy to perform with EasyTech workflow solutions, which streamline positioning and scanning. At RSNA, Toshiba Medical will showcase enhancements to the Galan that can increase resolution in diffusion weighted imaging.
