Offerings include FDR D-EVO II detectors and Virtual Grid image processing application

Fujifilm, digital radiography, FDR D-EVO II, Virtual Grid, AHRA

July 20, 2015 - Fujifilm Medical Systems U.S.A. Inc. will highlight new digital radiography solutions at the Association for Medical Imaging Management (AHRA) annual meeting July 19 - 22 at The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.

Following is a summary of new offerings:

Fujifilm's FDR D-EVO II detectors feature advances in design and functionality to bring new levels of performance to radiographic imaging. The detectors are lightweight with a ruggedized magnesium alloy case and a sleek smooth shape that simplifies positioning under patients. Inside, its electronics have been re-engineered to enhance dose efficiency and improve diagnostic image quality at ultra-low dose levels. D-EVO II is also protected with a Fujifilm-exclusive engineered antibacterial coating.

Fujifilm will also introduce a new image processing tool called Virtual Grid that intelligently adapts contrast to improve image quality for exams acquired without a grid. With the ability to customize its emulated grid characteristics, Virtual Grid provides exam flexibility and eliminates image quality problems that result from improper grid alignment or focal distance especially common with mobile imaging. Virtual Grid processing will be of great benefit to technologists for mobile imaging applications in emergency room, operating room, critical care and other exams. The Virtual Grid is designed for use with Fujifilm DR detectors and the FDX Console workstation.
