"Dose is going to continue to be regulated more extensively in the near future," said Botts. "Toshiba's CT and interventional X-ray dose reduction tools have paid off with an estimated 30 to 40 percent dose reduction and an increase in physician referrals because we offer more comfortable and safer exams."

PinnacleHealth also wanted to focus on preventing patient falls during exams, but it required more flexible diagnostic imaging table features. "Patient falls are a concern for every health system. We want to do everything we can to prevent falls and injury," said Botts.
