Topics include quality metrics, dose optimization and mammography screening challenges

February 18, 2015 — Quality and safety sessions at the 2015 annual meeting of the American College of Radiology (ACR 2015) can help radiology professionals address hot-button issues, including radiation dose optimization, mammography value, quality metrics and pay-for-performance measures. The all-new ACR 2015, The Crossroads, will be held May 17–21 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C.

“The ACR 2015 quality and safety sessions provide practical, real-world examples to help radiology professionals improve and maintain the quality, safety and effectiveness of the care they provide. These sessions also help attendees demonstrate that quality to payers and patients,” said Cheri Canon, M.D., FACR, chair of the ACR 2015 Program Committee.

ACR 2015 quality and safety sessions include:

  • Metrics and Pay-for-Performance
  • Quality in Radiology: Can It Be Measured?
  • Radiation Dose Optimization Strategies in Medical Imaging With Focus on CT
  • Radiation in Medical Imaging: Impact of Regulations and Social Media
  • Mammographic Screening: Challenges and Answers

Other ACR 2015 program features include more than 100 concurrent sessions and general sessions featuring nationally renowned speakers and a keynote speech delivered by General Colin L. Powell, USA (Ret.).

Attendees can earn continuing medical education and self-assessment module credits for Maintenance of Certification.
