December 17, 2012 — Agfa HealthCare announced the U.S. availability of its DX-D 400, a floor-mounted X-ray suite and the newest member of the company’s imaging portfolio. The DX-D 400 is both compact and versatile and can be configured to meet specific workflow needs or budget constraints. Combined with either the latest computed radiography (CR) technology or with a cassette-sized DX-D detector and the NX workstation, the DX-D 400 offers state-of-the-art imaging technology at an affordable cost – without compromising functionality, performance or image quality. It is ideal for imaging centers and private practices as well as hospitals that are interested in replacing or adding digital X-ray technology.

Scalable solution to meet individual workflows and budgetary needs
The DX-D 400 is a scalable solution offering options for tube capacity and generator size. It may be ordered with or without DR capability, allowing facilities to configure the X-ray room to meet their individual workflow and budgetary needs. Whether in combination with Agfa HealthCare CR or DX-D direct radiology (DR) detectors, DX-D 400 produces consistently clear, sharp images with multi-scale contrast detail enhancement provided by MUSICA2 software.

Complete with MUSICA2 image processing software
“With its ability to be scaled and configured to meet a wide variety of radiographic applications, we’re confident that facilities of all sizes will find the DX-D 400 to be a high-quality, cost-effective solution for their needs,” said Greg Cefalo, U.S. Imaging Business Unit manager, Agfa HealthCare. “The availability for sale of the DX-D 400 complements Agfa HealthCare’s CR and DR portfolio, including the new CR 10-X tabletop CR solution, which also features MUSICA2 image processing software.”

DX-D 400 rooms may also be used with a facility’s current CR products. For excellent image quality and connectivity with radiology information systems (RIS) and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), Agfa HealthCare offers the NX multimodality workstation with MUSICA2 for both CR and DR systems.
