October 20, 2010 – At RSNA 2010, Merge will display its latest IT solutions to help meet everyday healthcare challenges.

The Merge Healthcare Kiosk automates front desk workflow by giving patients a unique interface for check-in and bill paying.

Recently launched is Merge iConnect, a new platform for easy sharing of images between providers and integration of imaging into broader health information technology (HIT) applications. Two major elements to be showcased at RSNA are the vendor-neutral archiving platform, Merge ECM-, which is being used increasingly to integrate all the clinical specialty imaging, and the Clinician Access Portal for zero client distribution of images and reports to any browser-enabled device, including the iPad.

Over the past year in the area of specialty imaging Merge has added new capabilities in cardiology and orthopedics. Its existing women’s imaging solution has made progress in mammography reporting, and its CADstream platform for magnetic resonance/computer-aided detection (MR/CAD) reading has built user communities for liver and prostate applications.

On display in radiography information systems (RIS) and picture archiving and communications systems (PACS), the eFilm Workstation will be displayed, featuring new iPad technology this year.

In addition to solutions for imaging providers, Merge Healthcare offersnew solutions for vendors and international value-added resellers and distributors. It will highlight its new CADstream software-only platform for easy integration into existing MR console and/or PACS products. Its new interoperability Web Services Platform also will be on display to demonstrate easy radiology information system/health information system/electronic health record (RIS/HIS/EHR) integration.

For companies participating in clinical trials, Merge will showcase its new etrials CIMS solution for intuitive incorporation of imaging workflow into broader study data collection.
