July 1, 2010 – The new version of DICOM Izer, which features increased automation and manipulation of high-definition (HD) video, is now available. ETIAM developed the new version 3.60 as a continuation of version 3.40, in order to make it easier for both new and existing users.

Like previous versions, DICOM Izer comes in three different editions:

• DICOM Izer Basic for producing imaging studies from digital images (BMP, GIF, JPEG) and importing images from digital cameras and documents digitized with a scanner (applications in dermatology, pathology, ophthalmology, radiology);

• DICOM Izer Advanced for importing digital video files into the imaging network and capturing video and audio using the Video Accessories Kit (applications in endoscopies, surgery-neurosurgery, digestive, vascular, ENT-deglutition studies, ultrasonography); and

• DICOM Izer VIDAR for digitizing radiology films through the native interface of VIDAR digitizers (applications in radiology, mammography).

DICOM Izer 3.60 can be configured to automate the process of creating image studies. This allows the user to create a study in only three mouse clicks (New, Capture, Send), resulting in an optimal productivity and virtually no user training.

DICOM Izer 3.60 also offers video support in full HD, recording of files as MPEG2, and distribution in various multimedia formats (BMP, JPEG, TIFF files for still images; AVI or MPEG files for video) and on several storage types (USB key, hard drive, CD/DVD).
