The MEDRAD Informatics Solution platform uses a service-oriented architecture that automates capture of power injection records and provides authenticated users access to current and archived injection reports. Users meet their information needs via Web browser from within the healthcare enterprise.
Physicians can browse or search using date/time stamps or unique identifiers for procedure records containing contrast flow rates and volumes. Radiology administrators access standard or custom-built reports on procedure volumes, contrast usage and other performance indicators. Automated record-keeping streamlines workflow, increases data accuracy, and facilitates JCAHO compliance. Platform extensions under development include RIS/PACS integration and remote service.
