SonoSite Inc. showcased its newly launched M-Turbo and S Series products, including the just released M-OB/GYN Office. The M-Turbo and S Series products are designed to deliver an increase in processing power for improved image clarity across all exam types, plus seamless connectivity for digital image export. Both product lines are backed by SonoSite’s 5-year warranty.
With a complement of seven transducers, the maker says the M-Turbo system can be configured for the full range of clinical and procedural guidance applications at the point-of-care. The new M-OB/GYN Office product is based on the M-Turbo system platform and is customized for the OB/Gyn private office. It combines the high performance of cart-based systems with speed, flexibility and durability, according to the company.
Sonosite is also demonstrating the S-Cath ultrasound tool, one of its S Series suite of five specialized procedural tools. With its user-centered design, the S-Cath product provides interventionalists immediate access to the image reportedly with a minimum of controls and knobs. A broad range of available curved, linear and phased array transducers covers guidance for interventional procedures such as line placement, biopsy, dialysis access, stent placement, femoral and other vascular access and fluid drainage, as well as abdominal and cardiovascular imaging applications. The S-Cath tool also offers the option of a zero footprint installation.
