xDL Provides PACS Vendor Neutral Archive in Diverse Environments

xDL is the technology leader amongst robust, reliable, scalable medical image and document storage software. The xDL solution provides a PACS vendor-neutral archive that works today in diverse environments, ranging from a single treatment facility, to off-site storage and disaster recovery services, and large regional and national data sharing environments. xDL supports the DICOM, HL7 and IHE standards. xDL provides support for all PACS, HIS, RIS, dictation and storage vendors.

“The xDL solution is essential in allowing us to address our considerable interoperability challenge, which requires us to connect many different RIS, PACS and digital dictation systems to our central archive," said Alain Gauvin the lead architect for the Bureau du Dossier de santé du Québec (Quebec electronic health record). "The XDS-I support makes xDL ideally suited for subsequently integrating the archive under the umbrella of a unique, province-wide, XDS registry to reference all studies produced in our provincial affinity domain.”
